With the following privacy protection information, the Federal Foundation for the Study of Communist Dictatorship in East Germany, based in Kronenstraße 5, 10117 Berlin, is declaring which personal data it collects from visitors of the website www.machtdergefuehle.de and how it uses these personal data.

Personal data

Personal data is information that can be used to determine your identity. This includes your name, postal address, address and telephone number as well as location data. Information that is not associated with your identity (such as statistical data on the use of this website) is not included. You can use our website without disclosing your identity.

Purpose of data processing

Personal data will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected, e.g. the data voluntarily entered in the contact form for further communication with you.

Deletion of collected data

The collected data is deleted after the purpose for which it was collected has been achieved. This takes place after the end of the current calendar year or after the statistical data have been evaluated. The data you enter yourself, e.g. for the placing an order, will be kept until the next annual budget audit and will be deleted afterwards. Personal data that you enter in the contact form will be stored in our e-mail communication and deleted after the deletion periods for our administrative files as part of the traceability of administrative actions of the Federal Foundation.

General data recipients and forwarding of your personal data to third parties

When processing your orders, we use your personal data only within the Federal Foundation and the company commissioned with dispatching the orders. Your data will not be transferred to any third countries outside the EU. We will not pass the data onto third parties without your explicit approval. As far we as we are obliged legally or by court order to do so, we will transfer your data to authorities entitled to receive information. In case you use platforms such as Youtube or Facebook via our site, their data protection regulations apply.

Applicable laws and copyright

Privacy protection regulations such as BDSG n.F., DS-GVO, TMG as well as copyright laws apply. Unless stated otherwise, the Federal Foundation holds the copyright for texts, parts of texts, sound documents, graphics, tables and in particular images and film material on this website. Content of third parties is marked as such. Reproduction, editing, distribution or use of graphics, images, sound files, video sequences and texts is not permitted without the written permission of the Federal Foundation. Using contents of third parties requires the written permission of the respective author, photographer or creator.

Order form for exhibitions

When ordering exhibitions, the privacy protection information of the Federal Foundation apply. Your data provided in the online form will be stored, used, transmitted to the shipping service provider and deleted after the legal storage periods for the purpose of sending you the exhibition.

Google Maps to visualise the distribution of the exhibition

Google Maps is used on this website to visualise the distribution of exhibitions offered by the Federal Foundation. When using Google Maps, Google collects, processes and uses data about the use of the map function by users. You can find more detailed information about data processing by Google in the Google Privacy Policy. There you can also change your personal privacy protection settings in privacy settings.

Embedded YouTube videos

We occasionally embed YouTube videos on our website. YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA is the operator of the corresponding plug-ins. When visiting a page with the YouTube plug-in, a connection to YouTube’s server is established and YouTube is informed which page you are viewing. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your surfing habits with you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your account beforehand. If you enter data in the form for registering external events, these data will be visible on our website. As explained in the notice associated to the form, only details of the person responsible for the database entry are not published. These personal data are stored by the Federal Foundation for the purpose of communication with the person(s) responsible.

Our website contains links to other websites. We have no influence on whether the operators of other websites comply with privacy protection regulations.

Children and persons under the age of 18 should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not request or collect personal data from children and do not pass them on to third parties.
